So i was watching a video on youtube as a game had frozen, decided to open task manager to end task for the game, then noticed there were 5 processors of firefox running, just wondering why are there 5? See - Firefox's performance settings , and Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings. If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know.
Thank you! Does your Firefox normally load multiple tabs at startup? Is there any way to stop this from happening? It is using system memory I don't want it to use. Older versions of FF did not open more than one instance in Task Manager and I liked that behavior better. If a warning screen comes up, press the I Accept the Risk button. A window would have its own thumbnail when you hover over the Firefox icon on the Windows taskbar. My Processes tab separates the 11 Firefox processes between 6 "Apps" one for each window and 5 "Background processes".
I don't know if that's the normal setup or I did that at some point.
